Delete your OpenHoops account

Deleting your account removes your profile and the things attached to it. There is no undo. Three things outlive your account, and they are listed at the bottom of this page.

Fastest: in the app

Open OpenHoops → Profile tab → gear icon (top right) → scroll to the bottom → Delete account → confirm twice.

In the live database, deletion happens immediately.

The app removes your profile picture first, and stops without deleting anything if that removal fails — so this route cannot leave a photo behind. If you see that message, try again on a better connection, or email us and we will remove the photo by hand.

Without the app: by email

Email support@timbuilds.dev with the subject "Delete my OpenHoops account", sent from the email address you signed up with — that address is how we check the request is yours.

What deletion removes

Your profile, your detailed check-in records, your personal check-in day and week summaries, the Reps you received and the Reps you gave (so other players' totals go down), your "heading there" plans, your favourite courts, your pending friend requests and accepted friendships, reports you filed, blocks you set and blocks set against you, your notification registrations and court-alert log, your sign-in identifiers, your abuse-prevention counters, internal presence bookkeeping records, and your profile picture. Your account email and username go with the account itself.
